About economics. A question I really don't know the answer to, and would like to know the answer to. If, according to labor statistics, the rate of employment is dropping except in govt jobs, and if, as experts say, that means the economy is growing in the wrong direction, what will be the outcome?

I need a refresher on basic economics. Yesterday, I got excited when a self-employed person called for an ad. But why? Was it because 90% of my customer base is retired or on disability and receiving govt funding or some other kind of pension?
